Synopsis of Our Lives

Standing alone in the dark, she let her mind wander to things past- her old friends, enemies, and those that professed to be both. During those times you never really knew which was which.

The more she thought, the less she blinked, and her eyes began to glaze, then to burn. The burning made her blink rapidly; startled she returned from her thoughts and was surprised to see the faintest traces of light on the horizon.

She hadn’t moved for so long her muscles ached. She stretched as another day began after another sleepless night. How many times had she spent the night on the roof, watching the sky, thinking about her old life and the ones she thought would always be there?

Man, had they proved her wrong
