A week later,Chris was waiting outside of Borders Bookstore waiting for his boys when a silver jeep cherokee drove up on him. Chris looked at the jeep with confusion. The driver seat door opened and a young woman stepped out wearing a blue & white pretty poncho, jeans, big glasses and high heels. She looked very beautiful but seemed to be covered up. She revealed her black and blue face to Chris and looked deeply into his eyes. When Chris realized who it was, he looked her up and down to see bruised marks on her neck and on her face. She opened her mouth to speak when he quickly gently put his finger up to her mouth. “Shh! You dont have to say a word.” She started to softly cry as he held her in his arms.”I wont let him get you again. Let me protect you. Will you let me?” He whispered in her ear.She nodded yes and he gripped her tighter with his sorrow and remorse for her.His friends approach him while he was hugging Denise. He nodded his friends to go inside.
“Denise, I got you now, and I wont let go.”
