At the bottom of infinite peak lived the quiet community of Peakingsville. Peakingsville was small town where everyone knew the names of everyone else and there was no evil or badness. The children didn’t have video games or tv or phones. Nobody had ever gone up the Infinite Peak and seen that it was not just a mountain but a thousand-year old volcano that could erupt any second and kill them. Today was the Festival of Flowers and all of the parents, children, and elders had gathered in The Meadow to enjoy the day. Halfway through the festival the Infinite Peak (which was right next to The Meadow) began to shake and rumble. The Peaking thought it was just the wind again so they thought nothing of it. Seconds later the volcano erupted, sparks flying everywhere magma oozing slowly out of the Infinite Peak. The townspeople stood in awe of the steaming red liquid gushing towards them. Some began to run but they had no way to evade the raining ashes and magma. The Festival of Flowers was over

hmmm…oh the irony of stating the obvious: “the festival of flowers was over.”

Not so bad on its own, but just too different from the tone of Stovohobo’s stories.
