I began the close of my day.
Reaching home, my vehicle driving itself by the G.P.S. and road-implant beacons, it then entered the “Harper Valley Zone”. This technology was named after the the so-called “Harper Valley P.T.A. Decision of 2075”. That landmark Supreme Court case included a defense transcript of an obscure 187 year old song, admonishing those who kept their “windowshades half down”.
My vehicle “pierced” the Harper field, and its legally approved doppelganger drove out, sending the appearance of never having stopped at all. Doppel would randomly visit a few places, before arriving parking itself in the vehicular bay.
I exited my transport and watched the slight distortion effect the Harper Field produced during various weather conditions.
The non-Harper field simulator was indistinguishable by the naked eye, and of course I could not tell if I was seeing the “real” Harper or the “non” Harper, though both created a visual/electronic “No Trespass” effect.
