I Miss You

I looked out the rain splattered window,feeling the tears come to my eyes.I suddenly jumped up from the couch and grabbed my coat, scribbiling a note for my mother, telling her where I was headed to.Locking the front door, i headed down the street toward the little market.I entered the door, the bell tinkling my entrance.”Hey there Ali! How you doing today?” Mr. Garson, the market owner called to me.”Hi Mr.Garson, do you have any flowers?” I asked, voice quivering.He handed me a bouquet of yellow daisies.I left $5 on the counter and exited the store.I headed down the street.I entered the cemetary, remembering the day.I walked through the rows of the graves until I came to the last one.I bent down and placed the flowers on top.”It was 6 years ago today that you died…I miss you Daddy.”The tears falling freely from my eyes.I stood up, taking one last look at the grave. It said:

Adored Son and Brother,Loving Father
Born February 2,1954 Died September 11, 2001
