Angela

It seemed everyone in the whole metro Atlanta area had come to our theater for overpriced beer, concession was incredibly busy. Almost too busy for me to notice Mike come in with his ex, Angela. He had said he was going to bring her in from time to time, after all, they lived together, so I don’t know why I was surprised. And even though Mike lived with two other girls, I knew it couldn’t have been one of his other room mates. No room mate would look that threatened around me, that timid. I almost felt bad for her.
Almost.
I decided to go in to the stock room to “get more Coronas,” but really I just needed to escape all the tension in the lobby. No sooner had I closed the door did Mike rush in the opposing entrance, charging towards me. Before I could open my mouth to utter some witty comment, his lips were pressed against mine, and my back was to the wall. We kissed furiously, as if timed, for all of ten seconds. Then, he pulled away and smiled.
I took a step back. “You better go. Angela’s waiting.”
