It took me a while to get this right, but here it is. In re-reading all the previous installments, this “twist” came about: Howie implied Azrael wasn’t alone in his plan and the entire “blood calling to blood” theme was quite prevalent. So, yes, I had to do it.

And no, I’m really not trying to drag this out longer… I just want it to feel done when it is over. And the whole partner in Azrael’s plan was bugging me.

Oi! Did not see that coming! This only keeps getting more interesting…

Then my plan worked, oh yes. From re-reading the whole thing, there were certain loose ends I wanted to tie up and this was one. I was worried once I mentioned the Lucifer’s blood thing that people would figure out where I was going… but I guess the twist of Azrael becoming powerless indeed covered my tracks!
