She stood there, as the streets started to become quiet. She stared at the beautiful dark blue moonlight sky. Denise kissed her necklace and prayed that he was okay.

She turned to her front door, and started to walk towards it, when she heard everyone inside the fully crowded houses get quiet, she heard a car drive up. She turned with anticipation.

She whispered his name, and he turned to see her. She became confused. Why is he not running towards her with anticipation? Denise glanced into her house where she saw her mother signalling for her to come inside.

“Trevor?” she lipped.
He looked at his watch, and saw how much time he had lefted. ” I’m sorry, family comes first.” he said, as he ran over to the other side of the car and opened it. And then she got out of the car. “I’m sorry” he lipped again.
The crowd screamed “5!”
He grabbed her and yanked the woman’s arm into the house.
Denise looked into his house and saw his mother hugging the woman.
“HAPPY NEW YEARS !!”
