Washed By Rain

The rain fell down giving dried out plants a shameless delight, giving drivers the caution of the wet road with every rain drop it delicately dropped on the window. Winshield wipers frantically moved side to side clearing the vision for the driver. Charolette stood outside in the rain as it seeped into her like a sponge. She could feel the sprinkle of rain from cars that sputtered through endless puddles crowded on the side of the slippery black pavement. She closed her eyes spinning in the what seemed an endless parade of rain. Charolette loved the rain, there was something about it that made her senses tickle. It was as if the rain washed away her unhappiness. It was as if it made all of her worried thoughts trickled away. Charolette’s eyes snapped open as she felt the pounding of the heavy rain dissappear. She looked up to the sky to see the clouds parting giving the smallest hue of a brighter watery blue. The dark gray colored is descended to earlier was now a fait memory. A smile appeared on her face.
