Baxter and Lola [2]

As soon as the melody escaped his mouth, Baxter slapped his hands over his face to supress it. He was absolutely mortified, not to mention questioning his sanity.

It was only reasonable to him that crazy people were the only ones allowed to have sporatic song and dance numbers fly out at any given time or place.

Or possibly…maybe Baxter himself was crazy.

He began muddling over these complex ideas in his head, completely ignoring the curious and amused stares from Lola who, without Baxter knowing it, had moved closer to him and was now lightly slapping him on the head.

“Wouldjyastopthat?!” Baxter bellowed, coming out of his trance.

“For a second, I thought you went into some kind of delusional fantasy,” Lola said with a smirk.

“Well, thanks for the encouraging slap,” Baxter grumbled, turning to face to the city lights.

Lola put a hand on his face and turned it towards hers, and then she leaned in and kissed Baxter passionately on the lips.

The song in his head got louder.
