I like it, a quiet, disgruntled discussion of mundane matters, all eloquently written. And then, BAM , what’s he got to use the gun for? I love it. Awesome.

Wow opening sentence had such vivid imagery.

So many questions arise for me…like, why is he in this shack? Why does he have a gun? Ah, questions…great imagery about the weather and the desperation of being caught in cold weather though.

Thanks. I haven’t read any McCarthy yet, though I did pick up a copy of No Country For Old Men after seeing the movie version. Looking forward to getting to it when I get through a few other things.
