A Practical Guide to Hand Holding

First, make sure your hands are clean, trimmed and not sweaty.

If you’re walking around, just go for it. Place your hand next to hers and entwine your fingers around hers.

If you’re in your seats at the theatre and you’re not already holding hands, and her hand is on the armrest, you can do the same. Lift her arm up, place your hand on the armrest and place her hand in yours.

In both situations, finish off with a gentle squeeze or stroke her hand with your thumb to let her know you’re there. Be gentle about it. Don’t just go around yanking her arm off her shoulder.

If she keeps her hands in her lap, you’ll have to ask her for permission to hold her hand. You don’t want to risk giving her the wrong idea by just reaching in and groping in the dark.

In fact, it may be a good idea to ask her permission in all situations. Let her know you respect her boundaries.

BONUS TIP : Make sure you choose the appropriate film for hand holding. Definitely, Maybe is a better choice for it than Rambo.
