He put something in her hands, let go, and walked away. He had to leave and they knew that going there separate ways was for the best. Still she cried and watched him walk, waiting for him to turn around one last time. Nope, He got into his car and drove off. She stood there a moment, completely not even realizing there was something in her hand. It was raining, as usual. This rain was different though, the sun forced itself to show threw the small openings in the clouds. The rain kept falling as she finally opened her hand. There was a note and a coin. It was his lucky coin they found together. The note read:

I will never forget you. You know what they say, as one door closes, another one opens.
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to.

He could almost hear his voice singing to her. She looked up and whipped away her tears. A rainbow shown in the distance, almost telling her everything will be alright.
