What Have You Done?

“Nat, relax!”

“Relax?!” I began to pace. “What have you done?”

“What have I done?” He laughed. “You say it like I’ve killed someone.”

“You promised you weren’t going to do this anymore!”

He gave a large sigh. Smirks and sighs are his thing. “You didn’t even give it another chance.” He squished my face in his hands like I was his little sister.

I pursed my lips. Look #3.

He gave me a pout. Puppy dog pouts usually stop working when you turn 10, but Ted can put any third-grader to shame with his shiny brown eyes.

“Alright!” I caved. Why, why did I always cave? “When? Where?”

“Coffee shop on the corner tomorrow at five. Oh, and Nat?”

I sighed. “What now?”

“It’s a double date.”

“Well that’s nice to know!” I grumbled. Then I gave a wary smile. I always liked meeting the girls he went out with, but he still had that gleam in his eye. He still had something up his sleeve. “Who are you going with?”

“I was kind of hoping you could help me in that department…”
