Simply Irresistible

Prandi hesitated for a moment, wondering if it was too soon to share her deepest thoughts. Sure, Jameson had been her lab partner all semester, but up until a few hours ago he had been interested in another girl. And Prandi had to admit she was nothing like Becca.

Sure, Jameson seemed like a great guy, but how well did she really know him? What if she was, as the Americans say, just a rebound?

Besides, she was pledged to marry another man, whether she loved him or not. Was all this activity just a way of putting off her responsibility? Was she playing games with his heart?

Prandi had every reason in the world to move slowly. But when she looked into his tender, beseeching eyes, she couldn’t resist kissing him.

“If that was a penny’s worth,” Jameson said, after they came up for air, “what do I get for a dollar?”

Prandi giggled, glad that the dimly lit parking lot concealed her blush. “Be a gentleman,” she teased. “If I wanted someone crass, I’d have chosen Paul.”

Jameson smiled and it lit up her heart.
