Reflecting & More Work

Lance didn’t follow her. Walking back to the newspaper shop, she started taking in what just happened. Her breathing got heavier. Had she really just stood up to that fearsome creature? Had she really just slapped him? The adrenaline rush had pumped her up enough to be able to do that she guessed. Although it felt so good to just smack him with all her might right in his face after telling him off, she worried about the consequences. Back at her office, the look of worry didn’t leave her face.
“Hey you alright?” Randy quickly looked concerned. She tried to smile & nod. She had a dollar left over from her uneaten lunch & she shoved it in the vending machine to get a small granola bar.
Randy didn’t look convinced but he continued anyway. “Um..alright then. Well I need you to pass one of these packets out to everyone,” he said as he slammed a thick folder of stapled sheets on her desk. “And I need you to file away all the papers you organized this morning that I’ve signed.” he said taking the other stack.
