Temporarily

Sigourney’s nose smelled something burning. You let some guy sleep on your couch and he burns down your… “Oh,” Her eyes widened in surprise.
“I was trying to make you breakfast,” Tasha said apologetically. “To repay you for fixing my head this morning, but when I went out to get the paper, I forgot about the muffins.”
Sigourney stared at the lumpy black mass. “I_ bandaged your head? That must have been a mistake.”
“Yes, well, you were half asleep.” Tasha smiled gently. “All is forgiven, Cold War Kid.”
“I have a name,” She said. “It’s Sigourney.”
Tasha smirked and turned back to the oven. _Sigourney. Sigourney.
His mind kept repeating the name as if to commit it to memory. “I think I prefer the ‘Cold War Kid’, Sig.”
“I have a friend coming over later. So, if you have anything you need to do, do it then.”
“Is this friend male?” Tasha couldn’t help but ask. “And, would it be hard to explain the stranger living with you?”
“Temporarily,” Sigourney reminded him.
“Temporarily.” Tasha allowed.
