An unexpected delivery

It started like any other day. She woke up as the sun was creeping over the horizon. Yet again she had slept through the alarm.

Jumping out of bed she dashed to get dressed and ready. She never heard the alarm. Maybe it was better this way. As far as she knew this was the quickest way to go from a dead sleep to completely awake. Caffeine took 30 minutes this was instantaeous.

Out of breath, without any make-up and still tucking in her too large grey shirt she raced toward her car. She connected the small computer and printer and logged in, just a couple of minutes past 7 am.

Another day of delivering packages, tires, lab samples and whatever else somebody had to have right away. It was an interesting job. She never knew where she was going, and most of the time did not have a clue what. She did, although, get whatever it was to wherever it needed to be fast.

The printer hummed to life. She glanced over and saw her first ticket of the day began to print. She punched a key in acknowledgement.
