A Call for Aid

Mrs. McCallister reached into her handbag and pulled out a photo which she held in front of Fox’s face. In the photo was a little girl. She looked to be about six, was very cute with bright green eyes and coppery hair. The man’s eyes flicked from the photo to the woman questioningly.
“It’s my daughter Tabitha.” She went to drop the photo, hoping to force the man to take it, but Fox reached up and snatched the photo from her grip just as her fingers loosed. She pulled back from him quickly. “She has some psychic abilities. Vivid visions. I want you to help her.”

Fox smirked and chuckled in the back of his throat. “There are many other, more child friendly, happy-go-lucky, talk to your dead grandmother, psychics.” He exhaled a cloud of smoke. “Go find one of them.”

One corner of Mrs. McCallister’s lips curled up. “But my husband will accept nothing but the best. That means you Mr. Caprio.” She produced a check book. “I’ll pay you whatever you want.” She flicked her eyes up. “Anything you want.”

“Get out.”
