What's Her Face?: Part 4

“Here we are!” said my mother as she pulled up in the school’s parking lot.
“Are you sure this is it?” I asked, my eyes wide. My mother nodded. Yup, I was right. It was old and lifeless. How was I going to survive at a place like this? I mean, there were probably no electricity which meant no more TV.
“Now, get out of the car and help me unload your things,” said my mother. This was the worst day of my life. I mean, nobody was going to replace my friends from home and besides, nobody here probably was going to have a Myspace. Thank god I brought my laptop.
I opened up the car door and started to grab all my things.
“Honey, stop and let me carry some of it,”. The last thing I would need was to be laughed at for having my mother help me with my bags.
“No mom, it’s okay, leave,”.
“Excuse me? Leave?” I grabbed my last bag from the trunk and stepped up on the sidewalk.
“Bye mom,”. My mom slipped into the car and slammed the door.
“Bye,”.
