One missile a day keeps the terrorist away

The attack helicopter hovered very near the top of a clump of trees as Lt. Ashkelon carefully maneuvered his bird into position.
“Brother One this is Blue Leader. You have a clear on target approaching from 09, your grid, at 13/3,” the controller’s voice said in the trademark flat monotone of operational officers directing targeted killings of terrorist leaders.
On the ground, the old Peugeot car raced through the meander of dirt streets, carrying Abu Yusseff and four of his bodyguards.
“Brother One this is Blue Leader. Target acquired, vector 76, clear to fire, engage on your call, maximum range 2, repeat, 2 kilometers.”
Lt. Ashkelon fixed his gaze on his HUD . A bright red moving dot indicated his target. He flipped the cover of the trigger stick and placed his thumb on the orange button.
“We got the bastards confused this time,” Abu Yussef chuckled to his men only seconds before the ranged missile slammed into their car, vaporizing all five of them in an instant.
In the distance, the helo turned, quietly…
