The Little Unknown Baseball Player Pt.6

As I stood on the mount I could feel the fans roaring all threw my body, the lights glaring into my eyes. The pitcher was warming up.
As the ball went flying out of the glove, making its way to where I stood, I swung the bat a little early missing the ball by a mile. The umpire shouted out strike one the nerves tighten up inside of me. The second pitch came with a curve to its dance this time I didn’t make an attempt for the ball, the umpire had once shouted out strike two the nerves where killing me at this point of time. As the third ball came my way I swung the bat just right this time, knocking the ball to my left and on side I could watch that ball fly above the players head as I made my way to the first plate a opposing player had reached above and made the catch to bring my moment to an close.

I was sent down to the minors to finish up the season.
I had retired from the game at the age of 35.

Now I sit at home coaching local kids the game.
I was just the Little unknown player
