Residing Dreams (Chapter 25)

My father and I often talked about my troubles and how kids could be really mean sometimes, and how hard it was fitting in.

He would reassure me that everything would be okay, and that I did have people who cared about me, including my friends.

On the bright side, I did have some true friends, such as McKenna, who basically never said anything bad or rude about my father at all.
She was never one to bash anyone without a good reason, especially not her friend’s dad.

Then again, she had left Pleasantville Private School in 6th grade, to go to a public school that was near where she lived, so she didn’t know all of what had been going on.

Even if we still did go to the same school though, I believe she would’ve stood up for me, as she was always very motherly and protective.
However, whenever I talked to my father, there were still some unspoken words that we never dared to say aloud.
