I glance over at Jess, catching the expression on her face. I’ve seen it before.
Sometimes I wish she would just chill out and enjoy all the attention she gets. I mean seriously, when was the last time you got asked to the dance five times? Sure, the guy she wanted to ask her didn’t, but Andy was so hot! I can’t believe she turned him down.
It’s not that I don’t like George, he’s a nice guy alright, but if I had five requests, I wouldn’t give a crap about who asked first. I’d take the one I wanted to take.
That was Jess’ problem. She never did what she wanted to do. She always did what she was supposed to do. So George asked first, who cares? He can take rejection.
Hell, I take it every day.
Sometimes, it’s hard not to be jealous of Jess. She has it all, the looks, the brains, and definitely the boys. I don’t really get why she doesn’t enjoy it. She just needs to chill out. Let it go. You can’t be perfect all of the time.
I sigh, frustrated. She has it all, why can’t she just be happy?
