Is there not a stronger word than love,
that I can use to describe,
the feeling that arises in me,
when I look into your eyes?
My heart is beating faster,
my eyes begin to close,
I fight the denial of reality
but a part of me just knows:
this is happening, this is real,
but I just can’t seem to process,
surely it is too good to be true,
for what have I done to deserve this?

I guess I was wrong,
all my life I thought I knew,
what it felt like to be in love,
but everything is better when its with you.
Kisses in the rain,
hugs when I can’t stop the tears,
talking about the future,
my hopes, my fears.
I guess I’m trying to tell you,
