Harley-Rider (ficlet)

Something you will never read but, I will put it down on paper anyway. So jealous of your freedom, so afraid of pain. I understand Harley-Rider.
Do you liken your ride to us. Does the wind caress you with sweet kisses like I do? Does the vibration of the big machine bring sensations similar to the ride I give? Do you grip the handle bars as tight as you grip my hips?
The purring of the engine honey, does it make you think of my mouth close to your ear? Increase your speed, do you imagine it’s me saying “go faster?” Cruise, enjoy the ride, let’s go up, into the Smokey Mountains, Do you hear me say, “Go slow baby, go slow.” When you lean into the curve, do you feel me move with you?
When you reach your destination, do you close your eyes? Do you call my name?
Are you still? Are your eyes still closed, Is your heart pounding in your chest, like it does with me?
Rest baby.. savor it, shut off your engine and get ready for the next ride. I love you Harley-Rider.
Ride free. Ride safe. Ride back to me
