Intertwined

I stared into his emerald green eyes, my head feeling as light as a feather as I lost my self in a whirlpool of feelings. Sadness, hunger, anger, humor. Mostly love. And I felt a knife jab at my heart as I realized his love wasn’t for me. I saw him look away from me, his eyes trailing towards her. I forced my head to look down at the ground. I wouldn’t look at them… I couldn’t help it. I looked, and I felt the agonizing pain I knew would come. I clutched my stomach as though to hold it together, the searing pain too much for me to bear. Her hand in his hand. Her lips on his lips. Her love intertwined with his. I felt like I was going to be sick. I threw myself to the ground, hurling up the remains of my stomach. I picked myself up, and wiped my arm across my mouth, holding one arm around my middle still. I bent over, and ran. I ran away from their love, because I knew their love would kill me.
