Residing Dreams (Chapter 230)

“I wanted to hear your voice again. And I wanted to talk to you,” I piped up. “How are you? Is everything okay? Are you alright?” he asked, his voice suddenly filled with concern. “Yeah, life is fine. I’m having a good time at camp and stuff. And… Mr. Chrysanthemum’s place is nice and I have nothing to complain about…” my voice trailed off. “I miss you so much. I can’t wait to see you as soon as possible. It’s good to know that your summer was bearable,” Dad replied seriously. “Yes, it totally was. In fact, I was wondering if… if I could stay a little longer. Please?” I said. There was silence for a minute. “Uh, I have to say, I’m kind of surprised. I thought you wanted to come home as soon as possible. What made you change your mind?” Dad asked, clearly confused. I took a deep breath. I’d have to explain about Casimir, and I didn’t even know if I was allowed to do this.
