I think this is interesting. Since you say you like constructive comments, perhaps I could suggest you reconsider your spelling of paranoia. If you can take that much nitpicking, I’ll push my luck and mention that it is standard for each paragraph in a quotation to begin with a quotation mark. OK, nitpick over. Nice pacing and good execution of the revelation at the end.
