Come What May, Pt. 112

I drop down to the sand with Oliver, crying. “Oh my god, Oliver! Yes! Of course I’ll marry you!â€? He begins crying himself, and I kiss him. He slips the ring onto my finger, and kisses my hand. A wave washes up on the beach, and soaks us. We’re now laughing and crying, cold and soaked from the wave. “I can’t believe this Oliver. We’re getting married!â€? I scream, kissing his tear-streaked face.

We’re engaged. We’ve gone from really good friends to having an affair to being engaged. Peter, along with the rest of the world except for us, Adam, and my mother, thinks that we’re still at the friends level.

Peter. I don’t even want to think about him right now. I definitely don’t want to think about how he’ll react when he finds out that not only have Oliver and I been having an affair, but that we’re engaged. He’s going to freak out. I shut my eyes and hug Oliver tightly, trying to block the looming problem from my mind.
