Another Tale Told 5

He dangled from the rafters kicking, swinging back and forth; the man in the hood came for her.
Debra dropped the lantern kerosene splattered,
fire spread across the rotting rug and up the tattered curtains trapping her inside the room.
“Debra” Jim yelled as he topped the staircase dropping the bottle of wine.
She spun around, the room was empty the flames surrounded her,
she panicked and ran into the fire.
Powerless, Jim watched her parish in the flames.
Over come with guilt and grief he waited for the smoke and flames, Jim took his last breath.
The mansion still sits on the cliff just on the other side of the woods.
