Remembering Telling Drew

“Yes, I talked to them.” I smiled slightly at the anger in Angela’s voice. She didn’t get pissed off easily.
“He still wants to pull the plug,” I guessed.
“Yup,” she sounded disgusted, “I know she’s not going to wake up, but while there’s still a chance (even a .1% chance), there’s no way I’m going to finish her. Not with her mom here.”
I shook my head, “Her life is a freaking soap opra.”
“No kidding,” she laughed, “Can you imagine having a dad who faked your mom’s funeral? And then your own?”
“It’s nuts,” I muttered, staring out the window.
“So, speaking of soap opras, how’s your life going?” She asked in a not-so-subtle subject change.
I grimaced, “Fine.”
She chuckled, “Right.”
I sighed, “Angela, I told Drew.” I needed to distract her anyway, though I really didn’t want to bring this up.
“Well, shit,” she said with a sigh, “Nice Paige. Keen’s going to kill you. After Lambecky does.”
“I know,” I sighed.
She was quiet a moment. “How’d he take it?”
I fought back the tears again. “Not too well.”
