Last Shift, Part 4.

She started walking back up to the counter, but heard a footstep. She froze in an aisle, out of sight behind a shelf. It’s just a customer, she told herself. But it was a weird feeling. She peeked out from behind the shelf. Noone there. She breathed a sigh of relief. Just imagining things.
Sarah walked up behind the register again, and saw that it was 9:26. Time to lock up. She turned around to the wall to get the keys – and there was someone standing there. She nearly jumped out of her skin. It was a man in sunglasses and a bulky black coat, even though it was a warm summer night. But she knew who it was. She laughed nervously.
